I know, I know, totally not like us....we normally spend our $$$ on fashion...or at MF. :) But we bought a Wii, and it is a pretty fun story. Prior to this event I was a total Wii/Xbox rookie.
It all started on Thursday night when we went to a "book club," and I use these terms loosely b/c we spent about 5 minutes discussing the book. The rest of the time we played Rockband. Now, for those of you who know this game know how addicting it is. For those of you who have never played, I highly recommend it...it is a BLAST!!! So after a few games we are officially hooked. We drive home saying how we have got to get Wii. Eventhough the Wii does not have Rockband, it does have Guitar Hero. (And we hope Wii gets Rockband soon).
Friday night roles around, and we are not checking out happy hour spots like we usually do, we are home drinking, waiting on an out of town friend, debating whether or not to go get a Wii. So we head to Target to check them out. There are about 3 in stock, and we talk to the not helpful sales guy for about 15 minutes about the Wii vs. the Xbox, which is better, etc. Then we leave empty handed (except for the book for our next book club). We get home have another drink and the Wii is becoming a better and better idea. After the flip of a coin we head back to Target we go to get the Wii. And they are SOLD OUT!! In one hour the 3 they had are gone! What?! The new, more helpful sales person tells us they can't keep them in stock. If they get a shipment one morning they are gone by the afternoon. This inforamtion would have bene helpful the 1st time we were there. Oh well. We head across the street to Circuit City....Sold out. We go home giving up. But now we REALLY want one since we can't have it. So we call Toys-R-Us and multiple Target stores before we track one down. "OMG hold it for us we are on the way!!!"
We are set up and ready to rock by the time our friend arrives from Nashville. Totally worth it and so much. "We have a Wii at home" is now our new pick-up line.
Until next time,
Belle and Sprout
